Compliance
Certification and compliance
Importing timber today is above all a documentation discipline. That is the work we do on your behalf.
FSC / PEFC Chain of Custody
Certified chain of custody at lot level, with a certificate that can be passed on to your end customer.
EUTR — Reg. (EU) 995/2010
Due diligence system, supply-chain traceability and retention of records for five years. Implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree 178/2014.
EUDR — Reg. (EU) 2023/1115
Geolocation of harvest plots, deforestation-free declaration for the period after 31/12/2020 and a DDS reference number for every shipment. Canada is classified as low risk.
ISPM-15
Heat treatment at 56 °C for 30 minutes at the core on pallets and stickers, with the IPPC mark verified on every container.
CFIA phytosanitary certificate
Issued by the Canadian authority for every shipment, excluding quarantine pests: pine wood nematode, Anoplophora glabripennis, Agrilus planipennis.
CE marking — EN 14081-1
For structural timber, with a Declaration of Performance and the EN 338 strength class stated for the lot.
CETA preferential origin
Origin declaration on the invoice or EUR.1 certificate: this is what makes the zero duty effective.
The dates that matter
EUTR in force
Reg. (EU) 995/2010 is fully applicable: a due diligence system is mandatory for anyone placing timber on the EU market.
EUDR — first deadline
Application to operators and downstream traders of every size, including micro and small enterprises, for products already covered by EUTR (timber falls into this category). Deadline deferred by Reg. (EU) 2025/2650.
EUDR — second deadline
Application to natural persons and micro-enterprises for the remaining products.
Regulatory references current as at August 2026. European deforestation legislation has been subject to deferrals: the dates must be re-checked at the date of each shipment.

If you have even an approximate requirement, the fastest way to find out whether we can be useful to you is to tell us what you make and how much timber you use in a year.
